Epic Loop-1

Thursday we headed out of the Toute River RV resort at exit 52 on I-5. Destination one-Leavenworth. There is a Thousand Trails campground outside of town which means we stay for free as members! Yay! Much easier on the pocketbook than summer rental rates!

We drove on I-5 for about 50 miles and exited at Monroe, WA taking U.S. 2 east from WA-522 east. We then proceeded to Chiwawa Loop where the Leavenworth Thousand Trails Park is located (about 5 miles off the main road). Total mileage for our first travel day, 219 miles.

It took a bit of time since U.S. 2 is mostly a two lane road and passes through several quaint little downs along the way. The road was in good shape and the weather absolutely beautiful for driving. It was a bit warm. Yay, for A/C.

See ya on the pavement!
